Hong Leong Yamaha Malaysia(HLYM) has launched the new 2022 Yamaha LC135 FI that is only available in Malaysia. It is a special project by Yamaha Motor Co. in collaboration with HLYM, where the development team did in depth surveys to understand their customers’ needs and put in proper considerations about the traffic condition in Malaysia to come up with the latest Yamaha LC135FI new design.

The new LC135FI is fitted with an auto clutch to improve its convenience to ride. It is powered by a new EU4 fuel injection, liquid cooled SOHC 135CC single cylinder engine which has a higher fuel efficiency. Producing 12.4hp at 8,000rpm and 12.2Nm at 6,000rpm; it is no doubt the most powerful 135CC moped in the market.

The new LC135FI also comes in a lighter and sturdier frame while it’s fuel capacity is upgraded from 4L to 4.6L. An upgrade of rear disc brake has been spotted on the latest LC135FI in comparison to the previous version, it now has hydraulic disc brakes on both its front and rear wheels.

Design wise, the new LC135FI has got an improved aerodynamic with its new “Cowling” shape. It is now equipped with a larger speedometer and LED light for both its headlight and tail light.

The new LC 135 FI is made available in 3 colours, which are the Ruby Red, Crystal Cyan and Midnight Star. Other than the 3 standard colours, HLYM has also launched a special S.E. edition in the colour Desert Storm, which comes with a bronze rim.

HLYM has introduced Yamaha first Premium Basket that comes with the LC135FI SE. The Yamaha Premium Basket is designed in line with the LC135FI aerodynamic shape and fits perfectly with the bike which solves the user concerns from buying after market baskets that do not fit well. The Yamaha Premium Basket also comes with a dry compartment and USB charger.

The new LC135FI is selling at RM7,798 excluding road tax, registration fees and insurance;
While the S.E. version that comes with a premium basket is at RM8,198 excluding road tax, registration fees and insurance.
