To celebrate the upcoming International Women’s Day, Hong Leong Yamaha Malaysia has held the Dewi Yamaha Riding Workshop on 4th March 2022 at Sepang International Circuit (SIC). Aiming to break the bias of women are not as good as a motorcycle rider, the Dewi Yamaha Riding Workshop was participated by about 80 lady riders.

All participants are required to perform an RTK swab test by professionals at the entrance prior to admittance. After tested negative, the participants shall be entitled to enter SIC with a red band worn on their wrists.

During the event the dewi – dewi Yamaha (lady riders) first had a theory session about the right body posture while riding and the importance of safe riding attire.

The ladies are then given a practical session which are: Bridge Balancing, Slalom Course and Try Corner ( As per by Yamaha Japan). Participants who exceled in Try Corner are entitled to some gifts.

To wrap up the riding workshop, the ladies even got a chance to go for a “Santai ride” around Sepang International Circuit with Ms Ahirine Ahirudin, the Dewi Yamaha ambassador at the end of their practical session.

Dewi Yamaha Riding Workshop ended succesfully at 6pm.

On the other side of SIC held another exciting event side by side with the Dewi Yamaha Riding Workshop; which is the Yamaha Y16ZR Track Day. About 30 riders were invited to take the Yamaha Y16ZR around SIC.

All invited riders are able to take the Yamaha Y16ZR on SIC full track for 2 sessions of 45 minutes each. The highlight of the track riding had to be the 2 special racing spec Y16 made available by Cardinals Racing for test ride.

There were a number of first timers on track and riders who have never tried riding underbone motorcycles on track expressed their gratitude for this track day held by Hong Leong Yamaha Malaysia for providing them this brand new experience. Some riders wished the event could be longer too.
